Blue's Clues

I have been reading a lot lately about a group of Democratic congressman who call themselves Blue Dogs. Now, I've done a little research into this group (very little), and from what I've gathered they are a group of fiscally conservative Democrats (an oxymoron?) led by a guy named Steve, who dresses in blue jeans and a green striped shirt. Steve has a dog, named Blue, which is where the Blue Dog Democrats get their name.

Now, not all the Blue Dogs can get together at once, because they all have committee meetings to go to, and constituents to meet, and lobbyists to accept big bundles of cash from. So they have developed a way to communicate with each other with Clues, in the form of a big blue paw-print. They call these Blue's Clues, which signals to all the Blue Dog Democrats that something important is going on, and also teaches young children to solve mysteries and learn the intricacies of big government.

So, to the best of my knowledge, that is a brief encapsulation of the caucus known on Capitol Hill (home of Bill), as the Blue Dog Democrats. For further information and clarification, I have included some links to sites that might help one to understand better the role the Blue Dogs play in the political arena.
